PAYEZ - Payroll Card
Terms and conditions
The terms and conditions relate to the possession and use of the PAYEZ Card (“PAYEZ Card” or “Card”) issued by Al Fardan Exchange LLC (“AFEX”). The PAYEZ Card is a ‘Prepaid Payroll’ card, which allows the deposit of salaries into an electronic account associated with this Card.
“PAYEZ” means Prepaid Payroll Card issued by AFEX. AFEX is licensed to issue these cards by Mercury Payment Services (“Mercury”). In these terms and conditions, "you", "your" and “Card Holder” mean the customer and program participant to whom AFEX issues a Card. AFEX is the issuer of the Card, and it is AFEX’s role to coordinate with your employer for the transfer of your salary to your account attachedto your PAYEZ Card. AFEX will hand over your PAYEZ Card to you at AFEX’s branches or at your employer’s premises. The PAYEZ Card remains the property of AFEX, and is not for resale.
1. PAYEZ Card is NOT A CREDIT CARD and has no credit limit. You may make purchases at any merchant accepting Mercury or cash withdrawals at any ATM machine displaying Mercury acceptance. The Card can be used on multiple channels suchas POS and ATM – both within and outside UAE. However, you may only make purchases or withdrawals up to the total amount on deposited/available in your PAYEZ account.
2. PAYEZ Card is reloadable through the WPS Salary Payment process, and a renewed PAYEZ Card will be automatically reissued by the expiry date shown on the front of the PAYEZ Card. As the PAYEZ Card is linked to a unique account number on the system, the available funds will remain the same and be accessible to you.
3. By using, signing or activating the PAYEZ Card you are deemed to have acceptedthese terms and conditions (along with any amendments hereto).
4. The PAYEZ Card must be signed and activated before use. The Card Holder is responsible for providing the information necessary for activation.
5. Balance information can be obtained through the ATM balance inquiry at a nominal charge or FREE by calling the AFEX call centre or via visit to an AFEX branch.
6. Your PAYEZ Card should be treated like cash. The Card Holderis liable for all transactions on the Card, if you believe an error has occurred in relation to your card, immediately call 600 522265. Neither AFEX nor Mercury are responsible for replacing lost or stolen activated PAYEZ Cards, unless otherwise informed by the Card Holder through the available channels and subject to payment of any replacement charges as applicable.
7. AFEX may record telephone calls received or made for quality control training purposes.
8. You will be responsible for keeping your PAYEZ Card details and associated password in safe custody and confidential. AFEX shall not be responsible for any misuse, disclosure of your card details and password, and any other illegal acts, or erroneous payment made through your PAYEZ Card.
9. By using the PAYEZ Card you hereby agree to irrevocably and unconditionally release and discharge AFEX from any and all liabilities related to your use, misuse, possession, loss or destruction of the Card. You acknowledge and agree that AFEX’s role is solely the role determined in the preamble of these terms and conditions.
10. By using the PAYEZ Card you hereby agree to indemnify and hold AFEX harmless against any losses or claims suffered as a result of any inaccuracy of any information you have provided to AFEX.
11. You accept to pay all the charges related to your PAYEZ Card and the services provided by AFEX as per below Schedule of Charges, or as amended bypublishment in AFEX’s branches or on its website www.alfardanexchange.com.
12. AFEX shall not be responsible or liable for any losses or damages that may be suffered or sustained by you in relation to any infrastructure or network system failure (e.g. power fault, problem with the telecommunications network, or any other technical matter of this nature) or any illicit acts such as hacking and other fraudulent manipulations.
13. You hereby acknowledge that AFEX shall only be instructed by your employer regarding the disbursement of your salary and shall only follow the instructions given by your employer, therefore AFEX shall not in any circumstances be involved and/or be liable for any claim and/or damage related to the amount of your salary nor for any gratuities related to your employment and shall not be part of any dispute that may occur between you and your employer.
14. AFEX will not be responsible or liable to explain or justify the amount of salary due to you and in case of a query regarding the receivable amount; you will be directed to contact your employer.
15. If the collection of salariesis approved by AFEX to be done across the counter, you will be required to produce an Identification which satisfies AFEXand to acknowledge receipt of the salary for AFEX’s records, and no claim of salaries due will be entertained thereafter.
16. For any Card related services, you shall provide AFEX the request in person or through other channels made available to you through a ‘Card Services Form’ and shall be liable for any charges for such services provided to you by AFEX at the charges determined by AFEX.
17. For disputed transactions, you should notify AFEX immediately by calling AFEX Call Centre on 600 522265 For any claim, you will need to contact AFEX call centre at the number given on the back of the Card. Transaction disputes will only be accepted along with Customer Dispute Form duly signed by the cardholder, no later than 15 days after the incident has taken place. The below information must be provided in ‘Customer Dispute Form’.
• Card holder name, Proxy number or Personal ID number (14 digit - as per MOL records)
• Description of the transaction dispute with the reason
• Transaction amount, Disputed amount, Transaction date

19. You acknowledge that you fully understand those terms and conditions and accept them and confirm that you have requested all clarification that you may have prior to signing.
20. You acknowledge and allow AFEX to disclose and keep the information you have provided as AFEX deems required to in order to allow AFEX fulfil the services and comply with the applicable laws and regulations.
21. Card usage charges for the Card Holder may apply and the same are subject to change without notice from AFEX. For details of applicable Charges.
